Wandering with the Eagles – 2018

I don’t know about you, but whenever I think about the Eagles’ Super Bowl Celebration, Jason Kelce’s epic rant pops into my head. The pure emotion and passion, albeit liquid-fueled, was something to behold.  It was a long-time coming for the Birds.  I can’t help but to think who will play that role for the Bills when they finally break through.

In the meantime, here’s a look at the Philadelphia Eagles 2018 schedule and some other events you may be able to catch nearby.

Make this a midweek trip by starting on Wednesday night as the Phillies host the Nationals next door at CBP, then catch the World Champion Eagles open the season in style on Thursday night!

Sep. 16
 tampa_bay1 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
1:00pm ET

Catch the As and the Rays over in St Pete on Friday and Saturday before the Eagles vs Bucs on Sunday.  While there, stop by Frenchy’s on the Beach for some great views of the gulf at sunset!

Sunday
Sep. 23
 indianapolis1 Indianapolis Colts
Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
1:00pm ET
FOX
Just up 95, Rutgers hosts Buffalo on Saturday.  It’s a stretch, but Temple hosts Tulsa on Thursday night before the Sunday game vs the Colts.

Sunday
Sep. 30
 tennessee1 at Tennessee Titans
Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN
1:00pm ET
FOX
You would think you’d have a shot at seeing a decent SEC team in late September, but no…  Vanderbilt hosts Tennessee State on Saturday. You might be better off bar-hopping in downtown.

Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA

A trip to the Big Easy is always something special, but if you combine it with a late-season LSU game against Rice, you’ll make it an incredible weekend.  Make sure you connect with a local to make the most of your experience.  If not, Bourbon Street is a great place to spend a Saturday.

Back home, the Giants come to town over Thanksgiving Weekend.  You might be able to catch the Sixers or Flyers. Check back later for their schedules.

Spending a December weekend in LA is never a bad thing.  You’ll have plenty of options even if the four other NHL or NBA teams aren’t in town. I will say that while the LA Coliseum is an iconic stadium, it is quite a dump. I had the chance to visit most recently for the Bills vs Rams. a couple of years ago.

Sunday
Dec. 23
 houston1 Houston Texans
Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
1:00pm ET
CBS
Here’s your chance to boo Santa Claus for yourself.  Nothing else happening just yet.  Keep an eye on the Sixers and Flyers schedules.

Head to the Nation’s Capital as the Eagles try to close out their season in defense of their Super Bowl title. Stick around for the Military Bowl on New Years Eve over in Annapolis.

What’s your plan to see the defending Super Bowl Champions this year?

Stop wondering. Start wandering!
